450mm Stainless Steel Test Sieves

450mm test sieves for particle size analysis of larger sample quantities, including aggregate, gravel, minerals and ores. Each sieve has a heavy-duty welded stainless steel frame, 80mm deep, fitted with either a perforated plate screen made to ISO 3310-2 and ASTM E323, or a woven wire screen made to ISO 3310-1.

Perforated plate screens are available with square or round holes from 1 mm to 125 mm. Woven wire screens are available from 20 µm to 26.5 mm.

Every sieve is supplied with a certificate of compliance and a unique, traceable serial number.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is a 450mm test sieve used?
200mm is the standard laboratory size. Larger frames such as 450mm are used when there is a larger quantity of material to sieve.

Are square and round holes both available?
Yes. Perforated plate screens are available with square holes from 3.35 mm or round holes from 1 mm, up to 125 mm. Let us know which your test method specifies.

Are lids and receivers available?
Yes. A matching 450mm lid and a full-height 100mm receiver are available.

Do 450mm test sieves come with a certificate?
Yes. Each sieve is supplied with a certificate of compliance and a unique, traceable serial number.

Will these sieves stack together?
Yes. The skirt fits sieves, bottom pans and nesting pans of the same 450mm diameter.

Welded single frame: a stainless steel frame on top and a stainless steel skirt below, joined by welding
Clamped screen: the screen is stretched and fixed tightly between the frame and the skirt
Nesting skirt: the skirt fits other 450mm sieves, bottom pans and nesting pans for stable stacking
Laser-cut holes: perforated plate holes are laser cut for accuracy
Crevice-free: no gaps or crevices to trap sample material
Smooth edges: rolled edges and a sturdy rim for safe handling
