Sample Preparation

Sample preparation determines whether everything downstream of it is worth anything. A poorly split sample or an incomplete sieve stack produces results that look precise and are simply wrong, which is why this equipment sits at the front of nearly every aggregate, soil and mining procedure. 

Sieve shakers handle particle size distribution. The 200mm and 300mm motorised shaker covers standard laboratory test sieves, while the 450mm shaker suits larger aggregate fractions where a standard stack would be overloaded. 

Sample splitters and riffle boxes reduce a bulk sample to a representative test portion without introducing bias - quartering by hand is faster but rarely as defensible when the result is questioned. 

Soil laboratories will also want hand-operated extruders for removing compacted specimens from moulds, and most preparation sequences begin with drying, so our laboratory ovens are worth considering at the same time.
