For strength, the QualiCRH-2000D digital concrete rebound hammer gives a fast surface reading suitable for comparative assessment across a pour or a structure. Where a single method is not enough, the QualiNDT-UT81 concrete ultrasonic tester measures pulse velocity through the section, which picks up internal voids and honeycombing a rebound hammer cannot see. Using both and comparing results is standard practice on anything structurally significant.
Before coring, cutting or fixing into a slab, a rebar locator finds reinforcement position and measures cover depth without damage. The wireless concrete thickness tester handles slab and wall thickness where only one face is accessible.
Crack assessment splits into width and depth. The QualiNDT-CWD501 Concrete Crack Width Detector measures surface crack width, the QualiNDT-CD502 Concrete Crack Depth Detector measures depth ultrasonically, and the QualiCCID-50 Concrete Crack Integrated Detector does both in one instrument, which is usually the better buy if you need either measurement regularly.
Structural assessment work often extends into pull-off adhesion testing for coatings and repairs, and into rebar and steel testing where reinforcement condition is in question.
