Moisture content determination is one of the most frequently performed tests in any materials testing or geotechnical laboratory, and it depends entirely on consistent, accurate oven performance. TestingCore's drying oven range from Thermoline covers capacities from 80L through to 250L, with forced convection airflow, PID temperature control to 200°C, stainless steel internal chambers, and overheat protection as standard. Compliance with AS 1289 and AS 1141 evaporation rate requirements is met across the range. Multiple oven sizes allow labs to match capacity to throughput rather than over-specifying or under-specifying based on available options.
Glassware drying ovens are a separate requirement from materials testing ovens - the temperature range, airflow characteristics, and chamber design differ to suit the specific demands of drying washed glassware without thermal stress or contamination.
Our Thermoline TGD glassware drying oven range operates to a maximum of 80°C with gentle convection airflow suited to glass. For applications where forced convection would disturb samples or interfere with the test, natural convection ovens are also available from the Thermoline TO range. High-temperature ovens reaching up to 300°C are available for applications requiring elevated processing temperatures beyond the standard 200°C ceiling.
Water baths are used across materials testing laboratories for specimen conditioning, bitumen testing at defined temperatures, and analytical applications requiring stable thermal environments. Our range from Thermoline covers uncirculated baths from 5L to 24L for straightforward conditioning tasks, circulated baths with integrated pumps for applications requiring temperature uniformity throughout the bath volume, and a refrigerated circulating water bath for tests requiring temperatures below ambient. For tissue processing and histology applications, the TFB-4E flotation bath is also available. All units operate with digital temperature control and are built to local power specifications.
Bitumen characterisation testing is primarily a laboratory discipline, and the instruments used for it require controlled temperature environments to produce valid results. Our asphalt lab testing range covers automatic ring and ball softening point testers, automatic penetrometers with integrated constant-temperature baths, asphalt centrifuge extractors for bitumen content determination, and ductility testing equipment. These instruments are suited to testing laboratories running routine bitumen characterisation to AS 2341, ASTM D36, ASTM D5, ASTM D2172, and related standards. The range spans entry-level to high-throughput automated configurations depending on sample volume requirements.
Dry block heaters provide rapid, accurate temperature conditioning of small specimens without the need for liquid media. They are used in calibration environments, materials testing workflows requiring temperature-stabilised specimens, and general laboratory heating tasks where a water bath is impractical or unnecessary. Our Thermoline TDB series covers single-block, two-block, and four-block configurations, allowing labs to match the unit to their throughput and bench space. Aluminium blocks are sold separately and are available in configurations suited to different tube and vial formats.
Accurate testing begins with representative samples. Sieve shakers and sample splitters are core items in any aggregate, soil, or asphalt testing laboratory, and the reliability of every downstream test depends on the quality of the preparation work that precedes it. Our motorised sieve shaker range covers 200mm, 300mm, and 450mm diameter sieve stacks, with variable timer settings and automatic cut-off. Sample splitters are available in configurations suited to coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and combined setups, including ergonomic container options for labs managing manual handling requirements. Equipment meets AS 1141 requirements.
A materials testing laboratory depends on more than one or two instruments.
