The Geovane is a hand-held shear vane for quick on-site measurement of soil shear strength in kPa. You push the vane into the soil and rotate it until the soil fails. A pointer then holds the reading in place, so it can be checked against the supplied calibration chart.

  • Optional 33 mm vane for softer soils, reading 0–40 kPa
