Returns & warranty

Russell Fraser Sales products are covered by a 12-month manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This covers manufacturing faults but doesn't extend to damage from misuse, improper installation, or general wear and tear.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for products in original, unused condition with all original packaging and accessories intact. Return freight costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item arrived damaged or was incorrectly supplied. Items that have been used, installed, or modified are not eligible for return.

For warranty claims or return requests, contact us at sales@testingcore.com or call 09 558 3100.

The Cygnus 6+ PRO sits at the top of Cygnus Instruments' thickness gauge range. It pairs a large front colour LCD with an end-mounted OLED display for maximum versatility on NDT jobs, plus comprehensive data logging, A-Scan and B-Scan display, automatic and manual gain control, and Bluetooth.

Made in the UK, it still leans on Multiple-Echo* for simple, accurate measurements, with Echo-Echo and Single-Echo available via twin crystal probes for the toughest corrosion cases - Echo-Echo for painted metals with heavy back-wall corrosion or pitting, Single-Echo for uncoated surfaces with heavy front-face or back-wall corrosion, and attenuative materials like cast metals or plastics/composites.

Built for the toughest operating conditions, with a simple keypad, intuitive menus, and a colour LCD display readable in any lighting. The twin-shot injection moulded enclosure combines a soft, durable TPE outer skin with a strong inner shell, keeping the electronics fully sealed from the outside world - and the housing has passed US Military Standard 810G environmental testing to prove it.

On pitted or heavily corroded plate, fit twin crystal probesΒ to maintain signal. For hot surfaces, the high temperature probeΒ extends the working range. See the full range of ultrasonic thickness gauges.

*Cygnus's Multiple-Echo technique is recommended and endorsed by the world's leading classification societies (DNV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyds, and RINA) for measuring remaining metal thickness through protective coatings.
